1958年、多田哲也が片手の握力で細かい霧が出て長持ちし、故障無く、しかも安価に提供できる引き金式噴霧器（トリガー式スプレイヤー）の考案を企て、長年に亘り試作研究に苦心を重ねた末、ようやく完成したのが、世界で最初のトリガー式スプレイヤーの誕生であります。
以来、常にたゆまぬ機能の向上・改良と製造コストの引き下げに努力した結果、品質も驚異的に向上し、且つコストも非常に下がって参りました。これらの努力過程で多くの優れた技術が創出され当該製品にますます磨きがかかった次第であります。
おかげさまで、今では刮目すべく、世界中の多くの国の人々の日常生活のあらゆる分野にわたってお役にたてるようになりました。これらの事象は昨今、人類は勿論のこと、地球上のあらゆる生物に絶対不可欠なオゾン層の保護にも微力ながらお役に立っているものと確信しております。
又キャニヨンはこのトリガー式スプレイヤー以外にも、環境にやさしいディスペンシングシステムの開発も多機種完成させ、広範囲な商業用は勿論、世界中の消費者に多大な貢献を果たして参りました。
キャ二ヨンで開発され生産されているエコタイプの製品群は、信頼性の高い安全性、優れた機能性と経済性、そして芸術性を備えていることが根本条件となって構成されています。

It was in 1958 that Tetsuya Tada succeeded in producing a long-lasting, sturdy, fine mist, Trigger Sprayer which could be operated with the strength of one hand and which could also be offered at low cost. The planned invention was finally completed after many years of labour and study of trial manufacture. It was the birthday of Trigger Sprayer!
Ever since then, untiring efforts have been made to make improvements by improving function and reducing production costs. As a result the quality has greatly improved and the cost has been greatly reduced.
These efforts have created a high level of technical knowledge, beyond what could have been imagined, and we are at a stage where the good effects of this can be seen in our current products.
I am thankful, and one can hardly believe one's eyes, that the product is now being usefully used, by people in various areas of their daily lives in many countries throughout the world.
I firmly believe that all of this is making a humble but significant contribution to the current protection of the ozone layer, which is so essential to all life on our planet including, of course, mankind.
As well as the Trigger Sprayers mentioned above, Canyon has successfully developed many types of dispensing systems, which are gentle to the environment. It goes without saying that these make a great contribution to many businesses as well as to households throughout the world.
These ecological products, which Canyon develops and manufactures, are produced for the world and so they transcend countries, peoples and cultures. The provision of high reliability, safety, outstanding function, artistry and economy are the fundamental conditions within which we work.
As we look to then future and consider responsibly the high mission which is ours to protect nature, our aim is to use our limited resources with greater care by striving to produce products of superior quality, greater durability and reduced contribution to waste. Canyon, since her inception has consistently kept to the above management concepts. And within the realms of Mother Nature, Canyon's philosophy is to work with determination for the success of it's customers by continuing to give the utmost effort to the development and production of products which gently contribute to nature and mankind.
